1) Can I refreeze steaks that have already been thawed?
Look for any greenish discoloration or gas bubbles. Those are signs your steaks have been thawed too long. Or use your nose. Your steaks should have a fresh meat smell. With all that said, we recommend "when in doubt, throw it out."
2) What kind of meat are No Name® Original and Petite Steaks made from?
Our Original and Petite Steaks are USDA choice boneless beef bottom sirloin filets. They are tenderized with papain, which is derived from papaya, and marinated up to 7% with a solution to keep them juicy.
1) Is the tray provided with the product bakeable?
Yes, you can bake the product in the tray provided.
1) Can I order ribs on-line?
Unfortunately, we do not sell ribs on-line. Due to the refrigerated nature of the product, we are unable to ship them at this time.
1) I am allergic to many seasonings. What spices are used on No Name® Salmon?
There are no allergens in our spices. The spices we use on our Salmon are allspice, cumin and turmeric. All three are listed in the ingredient section on the box.
2) The ingredient list for No Name® Salmon fillets ends with "color added". What does this include? I am severely allergic to some food colorings, primarily FD&C Yellow #5.
The color on the ingredient statement is astaxanthin, a carotenoid, that is identical to the pigment found in wild salmon. Derived from shrimp, krill and other foods wild salmon eat, it's not available to farmed salmon unless added to their feed. Astaxanthin is FDA approved. Since it is a natural color, and not a FD&C certified color, it can be listed as color added and not listed by name.
3) Where does your No Name® Salmon come from?
Our Salmon is farm-raised Atlantic salmon, harvested in Chile and processed in the United States.
4) Where does No Name® Tilapia come from?
Our Tilapia comes from Indonesia or Ecuador.
